Peru
The population of Peru numbers more than 29,000,000. Over half are Ameri-Indian; almost 90% of the entire population are Roman Catholic. Peru is home to 104 distinct people groups. Five are considered unreached.
Since 1985 the World Mission Prayer League has engaged in literacy, health and development, and pioneer evangelism and church planting ministries along the northern coast. The Prayer League partners today with the Misión Evangélica Luterana, in collaboration with the Iglesia Evangélica Luterana de Chiclayo (IELCh), the Swedish Lutheran Mission (SLM) and the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Mission.
