Nepal
Until recent years, Nepal has been the world’s only Hindu kingdom. It is today a fledgling democracy. Some 90% of its population count themselves Hindu. Buddhism and animism, however, are intertwined significantly in much of the country. Nepal’s population numbers nearly 30 million. Nepal is home to approximately 332 people groups; 302 of this number are considered unreached. In addition to Nepalis living throughout the country, 7 million more live in diapsora outside the country.
The World Mission Prayer League cooperates in several international ministries in service to the people of Nepal, including the United Mission to Nepal and the International Nepal Fellowship.
For further information and specific suggestions for prayer, see Joshua Project.
