Funds are low again, hallelujah! That means God trusts us and is willing to leave His reputation in our hands.

» Introduction

The World Mission Prayer League is a Lutheran community in the mission of God. We are committed to some very simple ideas: the power of Christian community, the essential ministry of prayer, the adventure of pursuing a simplified lifestyle...and the urgent challenge of sharing in all the world the wonderful news about Jesus. We are today some 6000 members across the United States and Canada, and in seventeen countries around the world. Approximately 120 serve as full-time workers in pioneering service and outreach ministries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, as well as the United States and Canada.

Our community is comprised of sisters and brothers from around the world in service to the world that surrounds them. Our calling is holistic - from all the world to all the world, in Gospel word and Gospel deed. It demands all of us.

Yet our "mission" is not our own. With the church around the world, we hope to share in the mission of God on the earth. God is on a mission. Our community aims to participate in God's own serving and loving and outreach around the world. God is on a mission! — and we aim to join him...

In the links immediately below you will find live "feeds" from here and there around our community.
