Greetings once again from the home office!
I am now in my second month of service at World Mission Prayer League and the time is flying by as I continue to learn many new things with each passing day. When we come into the office, we don’t know what the day will bring. Sometimes it is a quiet day, and other days our top priority may be sending emergency funds to a worker overseas to pay for their vehicle repairs so they can continue their trip. Each day brings new challenges, and with that I continue to see God working in ways that I have not seen before. Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord!
In my article last month, I mentioned the well- known verse from Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” This verse has had special meaning to me since I was a young child, yet it continues to have even deeper meaning as I learn to trust the Lord more and more.
Since WMPL operates based on the Lord’s provision, we don’t always know how God is going to provide for us. Sometimes as the month goes on, I start to wonder and worry that we are not going to receive enough funds during the month. Then all of a sudden, the Lord provides for us with a large donation. I continue to be amazed at how he comes through at just the right time. That is one of the things I am enjoying about my new position; learning to trust God more and more. Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord!
I am glad to be just a small part of the WMPL team that joins together to advance God’s kingdom. And I am very thankful for the WMPL team that surrounds me and helps me out each day. It oftentimes isn’t easy to start a new job and suddenly be firing on all cylinders, and this position has been no exception. But God is faithful and he provides our organization with the talent needed to get the job done. I am very grateful for everybody in the business office for their contributions to the organization, and for helping to bring me up to speed – I wouldn’t be able to do it without their help, or help from above. Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord!
