The season of Advent reminds us that Jesus, the Light of the world, has come. As his disciples, we are called to carry that light into everyday conversations and to the ends of the earth. Jesus told his followers, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) And because the Kingdom of God advances through prayer, we ask as Paul did, “Pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word.” (Colossians 4:3) When you pray, you stand with our workers as the Lord opens doors and draws hearts to himself.
My prayer this season is that we fix our eyes and hearts on Jesus; that Jesus would grant fresh faith in the coming year; that we would follow boldly wherever he leads; and that he would use all of us – senders and goers, givers and intercessors – for his kingdom purposes. I am confident God will meet our needs and use his global church in ways we cannot yet imagine to make Jesus Christ known.
Looking ahead, we would appreciate your help in telling us how we can better serve you. In 2026, what would make our communication clearer and more useful? Are there specific financial or program/worker reports you would like to receive to better aid you in prayer? We would love to hear what would help you to pray and partner with greater insight. Our business office and personnel team will work with our new communications team to provide information that grounds your prayers and supports wise stewardship.
Thank you for your faithful giving and praying in 2025. All of our workers were fully supported and their benefits needs were met in October. New translation projects were funded, and human and material resources were deployed on five continents. Your support enables the Prayer League to have workers sharing the Light of the world among some of the least-reached populations in the world. Every gift you entrust to us is a responsibility we take seriously. We aim to steward resources carefully and transparently so the gospel advances, workers flourish, and local partners are strengthened.
May our Lord reign in our lives, guide our steps, and reveal himself among the nations. And may the Light of the world shine through us with renewed courage and joy in the year ahead.
